Actively Operated (CHE, RHE)

Moog's 2-way Slip-in Cartridge Valves - Actively Operated were designed to eliminate many of the limitations of standard cartridge valves and enable high speed switching functions.

The Active Cartridge contains an additional control area that provides a more robust control of switching functions for high speed and high response machines where low system pressure can delay closing times. In essence, Active Cartridges have a double acting pilot piston in order to actively open or close the poppet, whereas a standard cartridge uses a single acting piston that can only close the poppet actively.

As a result, the Active Cartridge can improve:

• Closing time
• Opening time
• Closing under load

An Active Cartridge may be used for the following functions:

• Hydraulic pilot operated check or directional control
• Solenoid pilot operated check or directional control
